Information checked Oct. 11, 2026: Unraveling the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt runs from Dec. 11, 2026, through April 11, 2027, at the Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, Seoul Arts Center, 2406 Nambusunhwan-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul. The Seoul Arts Center listing places the Brooklyn Museum loan across all three galleries, open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed Mondays. Yonhap News Agency is among the exhibition’s co-hosts.

The roughly 150-object touring exhibition gives visitors a more compelling entry point than a parade of funerary curiosities. Its central human burial is Hor, a priest whose mummy was long identified as “Lady Hor.” Brooklyn Museum research says CT scanning established that Hor was male, revising assumptions drawn from the cartonnage and earlier X-rays. The display also includes a mummified cat associated with Bastet, inviting visitors to consider animal votive practice alongside an elite priest’s burial.

This is a return to a familiar Seoul setting for Egyptian remains, following a 2022 to 2023 mummy exhibition at the same arts complex. The current Seoul Arts Center listing had not published ticket prices, a booking link, photography rules or an object checklist as checked Oct. 11.
