Corrections

Attribution is the whole point of tracing how an image was made. When we credit the wrong hand or misdate a reference, the record is corrected in the open.

  1. Credits and references

    Photographer, stylist, art director, house and campaign credits are corrected the moment a better source confirms them. A reference we named as an influence that turns out to be unrelated is removed and the removal is noted.

  2. Dates and editions

    Seasons, campaign years and edition details are corrected with a dated note. Where a source archive disagrees with a brand's own account, the note says which we followed and why.

  3. What we do not change

    Interpretation and comparison are ours. We will add a counter-reading if one is well argued, but we do not rewrite an argument because a subject dislikes it.
